Zoom and Califiq
Califiq can create a Zoom meeting for every booking on your event types. Each booking gets its own meeting link, and Califiq moves or deletes the meeting when the booking is rescheduled or cancelled.
Before you start
- A Califiq account. Sign in or create an account.
- A Zoom account (free or paid) that you can sign in to.
Connect Zoom
- In Califiq, open Video & apps (califiq.ai/app/integrations).
- On the Zoom card, click Connect Zoom.
- Sign in to Zoom if asked, review what Califiq can access, and click Allow.
- You return to Video & apps, and the Zoom card shows your Zoom email as connected.
What Califiq can access: your Zoom user ID and email address (to show which account is connected), and permission to create, update and delete meetings that Califiq makes for your bookings. Califiq doesn't read your other meetings, recordings, chats or contacts.
Use Zoom for an event type
- Open Event types and edit an event type (or create one).
- On the Basics tab, set Location to Video call and choose Zoom.
- Save.
- When someone books: Califiq creates a Zoom meeting at that time in your Zoom account. The join link appears on the booking confirmation, in the confirmation and reminder emails, and on the calendar event.
- When a booking is rescheduled: Califiq moves the same Zoom meeting to the new time, so the link stays the same.
- When a booking is cancelled: Califiq deletes the Zoom meeting.
Remove Zoom
You can disconnect at any time, in either place:
- In Califiq: Video & apps → Zoom → Disconnect. Califiq revokes its access in Zoom.
- In Zoom: sign in at marketplace.zoom.us → Manage → Added Apps → Califiq → Remove. Zoom tells Califiq, and within a minute Video & apps shows Zoom as Removed in Zoom, with options to reconnect or disconnect.
What happens to your data: Califiq immediately deletes its Zoom access tokens and your Zoom user ID. Zoom meetings Califiq already created stay in your Zoom account; delete them in Zoom if you no longer need them. New bookings on Zoom event types won't get a Zoom link until you connect again; invitees are told you'll share a link. Booking records in Califiq are not affected.
Troubleshooting
- Zoom says the app isn't available or can't be added. Your Zoom account admin may restrict which apps members can add. Ask them to allow Califiq, or connect a different Zoom account.
- The Zoom card says "Needs reconnect" or "Removed in Zoom". Zoom no longer accepts Califiq's access (for example, after a password change, an admin action, or removing Califiq in Zoom). Click Reconnect Zoom.
- A booking has no Zoom link. Check that Zoom is connected and the event type's location is Video call → Zoom. The booking page in Califiq shows the link once it's created; if Zoom was unavailable, Califiq retries for a while and then shows the problem on the booking.
